The Tallest Man On Earth, bathed in red as he gently smothers his audience.
Holy fudge, it was HOT.
How he pulled off his new songs just made me glad to be there through and through. Amazing!
There’s so much expression in this guy, but he’s shouting in meaningful riddles.
Riddles to be interpreted and to be wondered about.
All carried by a sound that makes you want to pick up your stuff and fly away.
I wish The Tallest Man on Earth doesn’t go sane on his upcoming album.
A little bit of insanity and some incomprehensibility suit him too well
All those people teasing up the tallest man on earth tag:
there’s no pirating now!
Can’t… Contain… Curiosity!
The Tallest Man On Earth - 1904 (lyrics)
My take on the words:
Well some they say “it’s not even funny”
And there you stand, not even trying
They say it is in line with the ages
Sometimes noise is just your mind
But the lesson is vague and the lightning
Shows a deer with her mind on the moor
And now something with the sun is just different
Since they shook the earth in 1904
And as I lower down I hear it’s a message
And it’s 1902 just telling people to get out
And if there was just a way to tell them
It’s been long, but your are right
And the singing is slow and so quiet
Like the sound when you sweep up the floor
And now something with the dirt is just different
Since they shook the earth in 1904
And when the night is young with the bridges sunk (?)
Something passing by our shore
And the only one you can tell it to
Well it’s the only one that’ll ever know
This is when Rob (?) was made to go through my window
Hearing something so strange and something louder than before
And you’re living with no light or direction
But damn precise and now you know
When the leaving is hard but you go now
And you feel what you drag ‘cross the floor
Because some things with these dreams are just different
Since they shook the earth in 1904
And when the night is young, but the bridge is sunk (?)
Something passing by our shore
And the only one you will tell it to
Well it’s the only one who’ll ever know.
And some will say it’s not even healthy
But body is young and mind is sure
That something is alright with your thinking
‘Cause they shook the earth in 1904

This is me talking to Kristian Matsson, a.k.a. The Tallest Man On Earth, at his concert in Groningen, NL, of last year.
He noticed I was shouting along with his lyrics so he asked me if I remembered the first verse of Drying of the Lawns for his encore.
My brain did certainly melt.
